Iran short 'Are You Volleyball?!' wins award in Barcelona

Mohammad Bakhshi's 'Are You Volleyball?!' has grabbed award at BCN Sports Film Festival in Spain.

Produced by Nima Rabiei, the flick has been awarded Best Film at the closing ceremony of the 9th Edition of Barcelona Sports Film Festival held in Barcelona, a city in Spain.

The film features a group of Arabic-speaking asylum seekers who arrive at an English-speaking country border and cannot keep going.

They have conflicts with border guard every day till a deaf mute baby becomes a catalyst for better communication between the two sides.

'Are You Volleyball?!' has so far attended several international film festivals, including the 6th edition of the Speechless Film Festival in the US.

BCN Sports Film Festival is one of the 16 festivals held under FICTS (a Federation of Sports Televisions and of images on screen).

Launched in 1983, FICTS is recognized by the International Olympic Committee is to promote values of sport through film and television.

The 9th edition of BCN Sports Film Festival was held on May 2-6, 2018 in Barcelona.
